Study Abroad
Pomona's extensive Study Abroad programs offers students the chance to study in the cities of Berlin or Freiburg in Germany. In Berlin Pomona Students are based at the IES Center Berlin, with the possibility of taking additional courses at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. The program in Freiburg is based at the IES Center Freiburg and connected with the Universität Freiburg.

Oldenborg Center for Modern Languages and International Relations
Additional opportunities for language and cultural study are available through Pomona’s Oldenborg Center, a unique residence hall where students are immersed in German, among other languages. All students of German have the opportunity to attend the German language table for lunch at the Oldenborg dining hall 5 days/week, M-F. Oldenborg also brings many German-related speakers to campus.

Campus Resources
The Foreign Language Resource Center (FLRC) provides a number of services to students and faculty. It will again be a physical space after the Mason Hall Renovation which will be completed in January 2008. All course materials are now linked through the Sakai course management system.
The German Program and the Russian Program constitute the Department of German and Russian at Pomona College. The Scripps College German Program and the German Program at Pomona College are a combined program.
